Hey, guys. I'm sorry about the radio silence, but life has been... Eurgh. Pretty awful, really. Been displaced several times, picked up and lost a few jobs, moved from Tucson, AZ to Cleveland, OH and generally struggling to get my feet back on the ground. But with the end of the year drawing nigh, I'm cutting things down really tight so I can just... FOCUS. And my next project that is getting the love it deserves is going to be #RatsWithWingsComic. I unfortunately lost everything in my move, so it took me a while to get my planning papers back, but I have some art supplies in the mail already and we'll get this comic really going.
The really great thing about starting all over like this, is that I don't have to cut pages as I draw, because my first drafts were really long-winded, but now I can just learn to condense better. I mean, obviously, it'll probably still be clunky since this is my first comic book, but I already am a lot more mindful of how to be concise with my pages after doing Blake's Dungeon Quarterly Magazine for a year, and having a cushion of time from when I wrote these outlines into pages previously can let it cure and I am a bit more aware what is flavor, and what is important. And doing double page spreads has me thinking more in that broad sense that will help a lot as I go back to the drawing board.
